In 2018, whilst working with the Federation of Young Farmers Clubs of Zimbabwe (FYFCZ), I was introduced to Baldwin. A young ambitious farmer who is a natural leader.

This is evident in that he holds the post of Vice President for the FYFCZ. And, this week Tuesday he will be running for President of the Blackfordby Agricultural College, Alumni.

Adding to his commitment to lead and disseminate his knowledge to others. Baldwin is also a rockstar farmer in his own right, having won countless awards over the past few years. Including the honour of being listed on the Top 100 Young Farmer list.

The young superstar also holds the distinct honour of producing the first Virus-free meristem micro-propagated potato seed. Which was harvested in July of this year.

Let us take a closer look at some of his finest achievements so far.

  • Charter Seeds Cabbage Grower of the Year – 2018
  • Young Farmer Leader of The Year – 2018
  • Top 20 Outstanding Farmer – 2018

Baldwin recently showed that he knows how to handle the spotlight and the work that comes with it. As he was interviewed by BBC Africa to share his farming experience and the state of agriculture in Zimbabwe.

Good luck in the elections Baldwin, we know that you are extremely capable and worthy of the role.
