We have spent the past two years engaging farmers and learning about the challenges they face. The challenges are many but a few elements always stood out. Finance and access to markets.
From Argentina to South Africa and Zimbabwe to Colombia farmers faced challenges in accessing finance and markets to expand their businesses. The world has many young superstars in the industry whom without finance may turn their backs on farming.
The average age of a farmer is 58 years old, we can lower that if we provide young farmers with the necessary tools and resources to thrive. As a result, we have created The Farmers Network (TFN).
The TFN is a free service for farmers to display their products to the world. The idea is to make it easier for food traders and grocery stores to see what is currently available in the market, as well as for farmers to interact and share ideas with one another.
